It has been over a year since I last blogged.
It is a Saturday morning and I have nothing better to do than randomly browse for something interesting. Suddenly, it struck me that I had created a blog long ago. I realized the last time I had blogged was on my birthday. Another birthday has come by and gone in the mean while.

I am 99% done with my Engineering. I returned home last week after attending my final review. Now, I have got about three months of spare time with me. What I plan to do meanwhile is still undecided.
Keep visiting because I will soon come up with a plan to utilize this time available.
Till den.
Cheerio:)

10th of February turned out to be a lot more surprising than I had expected. At the stroke of 12 my friends locked me up in my room. Turns out they were arranging the maggi and other 'abhishekam samagri' for me right outside my room. After around 10 minutes one of them comes inside and and drags me to a corner where everyone had gathered. Honestly, they looked a lot more excited than i was. For those of you who have seen or experienced this might have guessed what happens next. But my story here is a little 'hatke'. They tied up both my hands using a towel(which by the way i had no trouble removing) and had had started to eat the maggi all by themselves; and sometimes applying it on my face too. Damn the maggi was too hot and burned my right cheek to redness. This was followed by a paste of turmeric and oil. To wash it all off i was bathed in hot milk and two bottles of a softdrink. I sure smelled like hell. I then took bath and had to wait until my hair dried if i did not want to wake up with a headache.

This was the morning I had been anticipating for over two weeks.
After having bathed again the same day I was wished by mom and dad. Generally am not the kind to take extra efforts to look good. But today being special I made it a point to match my accessories and shoes with my dress colour. The dress was a parrot green frock type salwar with black chudidhar and dupatta. I had already worn it for onam the previous year. Mom felt bad that she couldn't get me a new dress. Does it even matter? because i don't restrict myself from getting a new dress only for festive occasions. So after getting all dressed up I enter the department making an appearance. The rest of the day was filled with positive energy and luckily I got no papers. I was gifted with a book called 'Mutation' written by Robin Cook by Aarthi, Binu and Jyoty. Then after lunch I met up with Dinesh who surprisingly gifted me something sensible. His was a very pretty white metal set by 'Estelle Collection'. Good choice I've gotto say. After spending an hour with him I walked off towards 'Canopy' because I had promised Priyanka and Sowmya my treat. We ate, chatted, laughed, mocked and most of all bitched about a lot of people. In short we were our bitchy selves. I then went back to my hostel only to find all of them gathered in the inner lawn waiting for me. Actually they were waiting for me to cut the cakes so that they could pounce on it. There I was given a soft toy in the shape of a heart. I seriously don't understand them. They have got such a kiddish taste. I had turned twenty and here they were presenting me a SOFT TOY! I got back to my room a little disappointing because I was expecting something bigger and better. Anyways, in the room abhi was getting ready to leavefor hame and I started to show the gifts.

After dinner I went treasure hunting which these guys had painstakingly organised for me. Though the running around for the clues and gifts were in itself very thrilling the gifts were again very kiddish. I just wish they had pooled all the money and got me something worthwhile. Finally, the day ended with Sagar bhaiyya wishing me.
So all in all it was a memorable day for me.

1st BLOG

Yesterday my department hosted a special guest lecture by the vice president of polaris, New Jersey, US. He spoke on the 'impact of technology on the society'. Most of us attended the lecture with the hope that he would address issues like global warming caused due to industrialisation. But he presented a ppt showing the chronological growth/improvement of communication, starting from the sign language used by early man to the most recent mode Iam using to communicate with you(internet). He discussed about blogs.podcasts, photo management,RSS( not the hidutva party..lol) and lots more. Now, I had a fair understanding of the functioning and uses of blogs over which he elaborated. It was after he spoke on blogs that I wanted to create one. So Mr.Sheshadari if you are reading this I would like to thank you for the lecture, firstly, and also for inspiring me to create a blog for myself.
